What are Limited Company Accounts?
Every limited company must prepare annual accounts covering its financial year. These show what the company earned, what it spent, what it owns and what it owes.
A version goes to Companies House and a fuller set goes to HMRC with the Corporation Tax return. Getting them right matters for compliance, for lenders and for anyone assessing the health of the business.
We prepare them, explain them in plain English and use them to flag anything worth acting on before the next year begins.

Companies House
Annual accounts → 9 months after year end
For a private limited company, annual accounts are normally due 9 months after the company's financial year end. For a company's first accounts, the deadline depends on the length of the first accounting period: where the first accounts cover more than 12 months, the filing deadline is generally 21 months from the date of incorporation. Different rules can apply depending on the length of the first accounting period.
HMRC
CT600 → 12 months · Corporation Tax → 9 months + 1 day
A Company Tax Return is normally due 12 months after the end of the Corporation Tax accounting period. Corporation Tax is normally payable 9 months and 1 day after the end of the accounting period for companies that are not subject to the quarterly instalment payment regime.
