What is Self Assessment?
Self Assessment is the system HMRC uses to collect tax that is not taken automatically through payroll. If you have income from self-employment, rental property, dividends, savings, investments or work abroad, HMRC usually expects a return each year.
The return reports your income for the tax year, applies the allowances and reliefs you qualify for, and produces the tax you owe. Filing late or getting the figures wrong can lead to penalties and interest, so it pays to have it reviewed properly.
We do the work for you: gather the figures, check the treatment of each source of income, prepare the calculation and file it once you are happy.
